Northgate Stays is put together by a small independent editorial team writing about hotels and venues with casino facilities in Northern England. We are not a casino, we are not a travel agent, and money never changes hands here. This page sets out, in plain terms, what happens to any details you send us.
Fill in one of our enquiry or contact forms and we receive the name you give, your e-mail address, the dates you are looking at, how many people are coming and whatever notes you add. Behind the scenes, logs and analytics pick up technical bits: IP address, browser type, pages visited.
The details you send are used to answer you and to send over the planning information you asked about — that is it. The technical side keeps the site safe from abuse and shows us which guides people actually read, so we can make them better. We never sell personal information.
We may use essential cookies plus analytics cookies run by third parties. If you would rather not have them, switch them off in your browser settings; it takes a minute and nothing breaks. All the guides, scores and venue notes carry on working just the same without them.
We hang on to form submissions only as long as it takes to deal with the enquiry, and then they go. If you want to know what we hold on you, or want it corrected or deleted, just say so — a message to [email protected] is all it takes.
Everything here is meant for anyone 18 or older. We do not knowingly hold data belonging to minors, and we have no reason to want it. If something reaches us from a younger visitor, it goes as soon as we spot it and no reply is sent.
